Human Trafficking in Colombia

We are investigating Human Trafficking in Colombia because it’s about olombia is a major country for women’s and girls they are subjected to trafficking in persons. It is a serious crime and global phenomenon involving the violation of an individual’s basic human rights.

Controversial

Yes this topic is controversial because after five decades of war, Colombia has one of the largest numbers of internally displaced people in the world, with nearly 6.5 million uprooted by fighting involving the government, leftist guerrillas and right-wing paramilitary groups.

Victims of Human Trafficking

The victims are mens boys, womens, and girls. The children are under the age of 18 years old. The perpetrators  of human trafficking are called the traffickers. These traffickers seek out people to exploit for financial gain using false promises ,coercion and/or force. Also, the traffickers are a diverse group and include a wide range of criminals working on many different levels , including individuals, small criminal groups or large -scale organized crime networks. In Colombia, estimating that 70,000 people are traffickers every year.

Human trafficking can be caused by a wide array of factors depending on the region, type of trafficking and cultural and social factors. However, there are some trends that are found with trafficking in general and across a wide range of regions. These include violence like civil unrest, internal conflict and war, lack of human rights, poverty, oppression and a general lack of opportunity.

The things victims go through

Victims of human trafficking experience physical impact due to the use of force by the traffickers. Victims can be exposed to health risks, such as HIV/AIDS, followed by serious mental health risks. Some products of human trafficking victims get are Anxiety, insecurity, fear, trauma, etc.

Global or just in the United States

This has happened to in the United States. This topic is more like a global issues because there has been survivals of human trafficking and they write about what they been through and what they are will to do to stop human trafficking because they don’t want people going through the same thing they have been through because it is horrible.

Human trafficking needs to stop and we have to figure out a way to end it completely and to never happen again.  Websites are saying that they want to end human trafficking but they don’t really say how they are solving human trafficking.

Human trafficking needs to stop and we have to figure out a way to end it completely and to never happen again.  Websites are saying that they want to end human trafficking but they don’t really say how they are solving human trafficking.The are not stopping human trafficking when on some websites said they want to stop human trafficking.
